AdSense Better Than Affiliate Marketing?

The amount of money that you can make with AdSense will depend on different factors. Some of these you can control from the outset, others need tuning as you go along. AdSense responds to certain rules of the market like any other business activity so if you aren't getting the revenue that you want or expect, the following may get you back on track.

When thinking about how you want to generate AdSense revenue, take a moment to think about the types of visitors that are more likely to click on ads. Common sense suggests that they'll have a desire to acquire something or they'll be the curious type. This means the e-commerce sites, information rich sites and sites attracting visitors with the promise of a solution to a
problem will be candidates for higher AdSense click rates.

When the visitors come to the site, provide them with good quality and
interesting content related to the theme of your site. This is important for two reasons. The first is that your visitors are probably after information in the first instance, so don't disappoint them or they won't stay long enough to check out the ads. The second is that search engines including Google will rate your site according to its content. The more they like you, the higher you go in their listings. Plus Google needs good content in order to send the Adsense ads that
are the most appropriate.

Google's site itself has a wealth of information on participating in the AdSense program. They have a number of rules that must be followed - or they can cancel your account. Most of it stands to reason if you remember that Google's guiding policy in the web is to give users quality information. This means that the ads served up by AdSense should be good enough quality for the visitors
themselves to decide if they want to click. Any suggestion by the site owner that visitors should click on ads is a reason to terminate the AdSense contract.

But Google also supplies good and clear information on what works well for AdSense revenues and how you can optimize your pages to stay within their rules and to increase revenue. It's a prime example of giving away valuable information on the web to get you to "buy in" to the Google way of doing things. And a strong hint for you to do the same on your web pages -you provide the valuable information, then let visitors consult the ads for themselves.

You'll find that it's an ongoing process of tweaking and tuning. Sometimes
there are no hard and fast rules. Should you keep adding pages to a site using related keywords or should you start a new site with a different set of keywords? Experiment when you can to see what generates the most revenue and replicate your successes whenever you can.

Is Adsense Enough?

There has been some debate over whether you can still make a reasonable income using Adsense. Some people say you can’t, others say you can.

So what is the answer to this debate?

You can still earn a reasonable income using adsense, in fact you can earn an amazing income using adsense. I don’t believe you can earn $20,000 per month just with one website alone, but you can earn that much if you have several websites and if they are set up correctly.

The biggest problem with people wanting to make money using adsense and failing miserably at it, is they jump into it without doing their homework.

Many people will think it looks fairly simple to set up a website and throw a few ads onto the pages and sit back and earn money.

Adsense needs to be done right. It isn’t hard, but it does need to be done right for you to earn a substantial income with it.

You need to do the preparation on your website. Don’t set up a site and fill it with rubbish just to get the pages filled.

Use good content….No, use great content. The search engines love websites with good, unique content. If you fill your website with lots of really good and unique content then it will rank well.

You also need to work at getting your website ranked well in the search engine. Set your website up using appropriate keywords and just the right amount of keywords. Overdoing keywords is not good for your site, google doesn’t like the overuse of keywords. Not having enough keywords doesn’t help your site ranking either, so its quite important to do your homework on search engine optimization and get it just right.

You need to place your Adsense ads in the spots that will convert to clicks the best. Ad sizing, colors and placement all play a big part on how many clicks you will receive.

Do your homework to find out the best placements and color schemes to use and if you still don’t get enough clicks from your ads, play around with them until you get it right.

You must also spend a lot of times driving traffic to your website. Putting Adsense ads on your site will not make you any money if you aren’t getting enough visitors to click on those ads.

Put lots of efforts into increasing your websites page ranking and into driving traffic to your site.

Advertise your website everywhere you can think of. Use website directories, article directories, blogs and forums.

As long as you put the work into your website and get the traffic coming in then you can make a full time income using adsense. One website alone may not be enough to give you a full time income, but setting up a few Adsense websites and getting them ranked well can give you and amazing income.

Google AdWords work on model known as call “pay-per-click”. When someone clicks on AdWords ad, the advertiser of those ads needs to pay Google on certain amount. It is easy to track and fully automated. Therefore, when ever a visitor click the ads displaying at your website, you will earn a share of the pay-per-click amount from Google. Google Adsense is an extension of Google AdWords.

1.Type and Format of Your Ad

The reason of doing this, is because of in most languages, visitor will read from left to right.

However, the biggest mistake most web publisher done was, choose the high-paying keywords with assuming that it will yield them more income. While it is tempting to choose such keywords to get higher rankings on search engines, be prudent when it come to selecting the right keywords that go with the Adsense ads that are to be displayed….Remember the goal here is to get more click and not Search Engines Optimization ranking.

Top Adsense Keywords Strategies

We all know that one great way to make money online is with the use of adsense adverts. Lets briefly break down how adsense works with an example. Lets say you have a website based on Gardening. When you sign up for an adsense account and place the adsense coding in your web pages, it automatically displays relevant adverts on your website of other websites in your same niche.

It does this simply by detecting your keyword usage in your meta tags. By placing adsense adverts on your websites, you earn extra revenue based on a pay per click basis. The adverts that show up on your website are from people who have created adwords adverts for their websites. So basically, if they bid 35 cents for the keyword phrase "how to garden" in their adwords account, you will receive approximately 35 cents every time someone clicks on their advert( which is placed on your website) under the phrase "how to Garden".

So that's roughly how adsense adverts work. But lets talk about an important aspect of Adsense, that being which keywords will give you the highest pay rate and how to go about finding them. Most people have probably spent a fair amount of time doing research on the internet, trying to experiment with different websites to see how much they receive for those particular adverts. This can be very time consuming. I currently have access to and utilise a database of approximately 2.4 MILLION different search terms, their Cost per click values and their daily click estimates. If you are interested in reading more about an adsense product which can offer this knowledge, please visit my homepage below.

Where To Begin Making Money With Adsense

Adsense is one of the most lucrative ways to make money online. It enables a person to monetize their sites easily. If used properly, you can generate an extremely large and healthy income. However if you do not set up your site correctly and just maximize the income you squeeze from it, you are actually leaving a lot of money on the table. Which I’m sure nobody wants to leave any money on the table.

You can start earning money with Adsense reasonably easily and within a couple of months could have an amazing income. You will be amazed at the results you will be getting in such a short period of time.

First up write some quality content articles and incorporate your keywords into them. Writing comes very easily for some people, as far as to say they even have a gift for it. If you are one of those people then why not make that gift work in your favour and earn some income with it.

For those who writing doesn’t come so easily, don’t panic, it can be done. Do some research over the internet or through books and find the information you need relating to your site and then write it down. Don’t copy anything, write everything in your own words.

Search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing should keep up with their demands. Create good quality contents and the search engines will love your site and will rank you well.

Build a quality content site incorporated with Adsense ads that is targeting the subject and keywords of your articles and websites. This is where all that you’ve done initially will go to and this is also where they will prove their worth to you.

When you are ready to place the ads on your pages make sure you position your ads carefully. Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them. According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. The reason for this is because that is where your website navigation links are usually situated. So by placing your Adsense ads directly under your navigation links will usually get some good clicks.

Some of those who are just starting at this business may think they are doing pretty well already and thinking that their clickthrough rates and CPM figures are quite healthy. However, there are more techniques and styles to generate more clicks to double your earnings. By knowing these techniques and working them to your advantage, you will realize that you will be getting three times more than other people who have been previously doing what they are doing.

Finally, Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of site on a site by site, page by page, or any other basis you wanted. You should be aware oft his capability and make the most of it because it is one powerful tool that will help you find out which ads are performing best. This way, you can fine tune your Adsense ads and focus more on the ones being visited the most rather than those who are being ignored.

Stay away from banner ads and skyscraper ads – they don’t tend to get as many clicks as the other ads. So there is no point putting ads on your site that aren’t going to get you the clicks you want. Surfers universally ignore these kinds of ad formats. The reason behind this is that they are recognized as an advert and advert are rarely of any interest that’s why people ignore them.

To really make a great income with Adsense, you should have a definite focus on what you want to achieve and how to go about achieving it. Like any business ventures, time is needed coupled with patience.

Once you have added the Adsense ads to your site and have uploaded your site, don’t stop there. Don’t ignore your site just because it is ‘finished’. Adding more content to your site will help your site to climb in page rank, the more articles you add to your site the better.

Keep an eye on your ads and click through rates, if you aren’t seeing enough clicks then play around with your ads a bit and keep track of which ads perform better for you.

Give it a try and you would not regret having gotten into Adsense in the first place.

Three Vital Tips for Building Google Adsense Profits Today

Google's Adsense program is a popular way to monetize your web sites. One of the more favorable reasons why this is the case is because Adsense publishers are not required to have any specified amount of traffic for a web site in order to start. In fact, you can place those Adsense ad blocks on your site from day one.

This has been a blessing and a curse for Adwords advertisers and Google. Up until last year, many Adsense publishers were able to profit from the Adsense program within just a few days of a brand new web site. Savvy programmers figured out ways to fool search engines into placing their web pages on the first page of many of their keyword targeted web pages using sneaky tactics, and software.

Because of this, Google has created many changes in how their search engine ranks a web site as well as in their Adsense program. Today it is vital for every Adsense publisher to understand Google's terms of service regarding what is and is not accepted. The reason why it is so vital is because if a publisher does not follow the rules, they will find their websites getting de-indexed by Google's search engine and what's worse, they may even lose their publisher account.

One of the problems with understanding the terms of service in any program or for any website is the fact that they are incredibly long and boring. Most people will simply agree to the terms of service without ever reading them.

If you happen to be one of these people, here are three of the most vital points in the Adsense terms of service that you should follow.

Obey Google's Terms of Service
Publishers are allowed to include a maximum of three ad units per web page. There are a variety of choices regarding the Adsense blocks. Google allows publishers to select several of the same type of Adsense blocks, however, only a maximum of three blocks per page.

There are also link units which are considered separate from the Adsense blocks. An additional link unit can be added to the web page along with the three other Adsense blocks.

And lastly, publishers can add up to two Adsense search boxes on any web page. The search boxes are not considered part of the link units or Adsense blocks.

So, altogether you can have as many as 3 Adsense blocks, 1 link unit and 2 search boxes on any one web page.

Where Adsense Blocks Cannot Be Placed
Google will not allow publishers to place Adsense blocks on any web page that is non-content based. This means if your web page does not contain any relative content, you are not allowed to place any Adsense blocks on the page. In addition to this Google ads that the web page cannot be created for the sole purpose of showing Adsense Blocks.

This is where the greatest problem has cropped up. If a publisher gathers together a list of RSS feeds and or content that simply points to more web sites and inserts this type of information on the web page, that publisher is in violation of the terms of service for Google's Adsense program.

This means that if a publisher uses scrapped content, content that looks like it came from a search engine listing, they had better remove the Adsense blocks from those pages immediately or they will most likely lose their Adsense account.

Recently, Google has decided not to Adsense blocks on squeeze pages that are created for the purpose of gathering email address, pages that are used to reap affiliate sales, using Adwords to drive traffic to web pages with Adsense (Adsense arbitrage) and single page web sites or sales letters. These types of activities or web pages should not have Adsense blocks on them.

Read Google's Adsense Terms of Service
The information discussed in this article covers some of the more common violations of the Adsense programs terms of service. However, if you visit Google's Adsense site, you will find a link to the Adsense program policies. It would be a good idea to take the time to look over these policies to insure that you are not accidentally violating the terms of service, simply because you were told or perhaps you read about some way to make money fast with the Adsense program, that in fact will get you banned or removed from the program.
