You can still earn a reasonable income using adsense, in fact you can earn an amazing income using adsense. I don’t believe you can earn $20,000 per month just with one website alone, but you can earn that much if you have several websites and if they are set up correctly.

The biggest problem with people wanting to make money using adsense and failing miserably at it, is they jump into it without doing their homework.

Many people will think it looks fairly simple to set up a website and throw a few ads onto the pages and sit back and earn money.

Adsense needs to be done right. It isn’t hard, but it does need to be done right for you to earn a substantial income with it.

You need to do the preparation on your website. Don’t set up a site and fill it with rubbish just to get the pages filled.

This means if your web page does not contain any relative content, you are not allowed to place any Adsense blocks on the page. In addition to this Google ads that the web page cannot be created for the sole purpose of showing Adsense Blocks.

This is where the greatest problem has cropped up. If a publisher gathers together a list of RSS feeds and or content that simply points to more web sites and inserts this type of information on the web page, that publisher is in violation of the terms of service for Google's Adsense program.

This means that if a publisher uses scrapped content, content that looks like it came from a search engine listing, they had better remove the Adsense blocks from those pages immediately or they will most likely lose their Adsense account.

Recently, Google has decided not to Adsense blocks on squeeze pages that are created for the purpose of gathering email address, pages that are used to reap affiliate sales, using Adwords to drive traffic to web pages with Adsense (Adsense arbitrage) and single page web sites or sales letters. These types of activities or web pages should not have Adsense blocks on them.

There are two types of internet marketing products that make it to the top on clickbank. The first type is the one written by a part of the guru insider club. These have a cookie cutter, hot-button pushing sales letters that reveals little about the actual product but know how to really stoke that buying fire.

Adsense Decoded is of this second type. I can’t remember getting one email about it.

Anyways, I bought this product a while back and thought it was quite good. The 47% CTR on Adsense is what really got me going because I thrive on Adsense for all my black hat sites.

It's worthwhile to examine Google's definition of Google AdSense and Click Fraud, before delving deeper into “AdSense Fraud”.

Google AdSense fraud is one of the diseases that plague the Ad Words advertisers. The AdSense program essentially allows website publishers/owners to sign up with Google, enabling them to display Google Ads on their sites. These publishers essentially act as “Google Partners”. The ads chosen by the Google bot for display are contextual and the ads are related to the contents of the publisher's website, more specifically that particular web page. The intent for Google is to capitalize on the traffic to these (in practice) niche sites and provide highly direct targeted traffic to the advertiser. She correctly guesses that the AdSense payout is proportional to what Google earns and therefore homes in on such words. Her strategy is to make a page with contents that are appropriate for the targeted high payout keyword. She moves ahead by clicking on the link multiple times and recruits friends and family to give them a click. Or ten!

Little does she know that Google has a 45 day inspection period before she get her nubby little fingers on that cash. With little to no knowledge of Click through Ratio , her greed couples with her ignorance. Seeing her ill-gotten paper wealth multiplying in her AdSense interface, she increases the clicks. Google however inspects the CTR and throws a fit when they see a CTR exceeding 20%. Furthermore, Google notices clicks mostly originating from a few IP addresses and that essentially seals her fate (or rather docks her earnings). That virtual cash is now just some deleted bytes on a hard disk on Google's servers. She moans, nay she rail against the cruelty of Google's policy. Some of these people wisely cease and desist such activities, perhaps philosophizing about the NFL (no free lunch) theorem. Others however see it as ground school for the next stage of nefarious behavior. The Almost-There Fraudster.

Almost-There Fraudster ( aka SmartAlec ):

The archetypical ATF is supremely confident in his ability to fool Google. Like the BOZO, he looks for high paying keywords and makes appropriate website(s). Let's assume that he is in a third world country, just to make the case more interesting. The case described here is 1 year old news. He has read this article and taken the learnt the subsequent lesson . He knows that that the clicks from the IP Addresses of USA, UK & Canada are worth much more than the clicks from the IP Addresses from the third world countries. He therefore seeks to befriend people from such IP addresses by logging onto messenger services.

This way, he gets the unique, unrelated IP clicks and (he hopes) that Google is fooled. Remember “creature of the night”. Well, these people typically are more than a few time zone removed from the US or Canada and therefore are up at odd hours whenever they feel that their targets are most likely to be active. Plus they sometimes have to deal with “inconveniences” like a day job.

AT fraud thinks that the clicks he obtained by trolling on these sites is a job well done. He has got clicks from the IP address of his choice .. An interesting factoid is that for AdSense, state also matters. Clicks from Washington and New York State have the highest payout for AdSense Fraud.

He has just one problem. His tragic flaw. While he worked so hard to get the unique IP and high earnings, he is not able to maintain a good CTR. He is likely to cross the limit of 30-40% of daily CTR and 10-20% of overall CTR. He ends up in the same purgatory as the BOZO. The account is banned, and he gets the abominated email. Yes, the “AdSense account closure”. Almost-There is never good enough in this nether world of AdSense gaming. Although it is possible that he would have made a few thousand dollars before the punishment catches up to his crime. Crime doesn't quite pay, now does it? Well, gentle reader, unfortunately crime _is_ paying to the next category. Fraudster Maestro ( aka Satan's Spawn).

This category of fraudsters is the most sophisticated and rarely gets caught by google . She has researched the high paying keywords as well as the CTR issues well. She has the smoothest lines in the business of soliciting clicks. She can flirt online, and ask to click the “link” for her picture. Or she may claim that clicking the link causes the hungry child to be fed in Ethiopia . Let's follow a typical “simple” chat session:

And she has lots of tricks up her repertoire besides chatting up strangers. She knows about opt in lists, usenet and blogs where she can snare the victims. Technically savvy and able to empathize with her victims she doesn't let arrogance get in her way to success. Since she is very mindful of the CTR issues she has a secret weapon. She has optimized her site for some low paying keywords which are really not competitive. She organically gets lots of traffic (but for things unrelated to those competitive high paying keywords). In her website, she may be giving away free greeting cards Or free screensavers. End result is a fabulous impression count. The second step for her is to makes unrelated pages on the same site and these pages pertain to the high paying keywords. These keywords are used to attract the victims of chat sessions. The process of getting the clicks is different but the results due to CTR are very lucrative.

So, how does all this geek talk affect the PPC advertiser? It's a $5 billion+ dollar market(for exact projections onto the future, please check out our FAQ, and with a 20% + fraud rate, we are talking about a 1 BILLION dollars fraud per year. Even Dr. Evil may be impressed by such a number. It's greater than the cumulative GNP of a few banana republics. And a fair chunk is ending up in the coffers of these fraudsters. We know from anecdotal evidence, how people are clearing up to 20 grand a month. All, courtesy of the hapless PPC advertiser.

We want to emphasize that there are lots of authentic sites serving genuine content. The amount you make is dependent on the particular ad that’s clicked. The simplicity of the AdSense program is both its strength and its weakness.

Don’t waste your time, effort, and money on prefabricated AdSense empires or software designed to churn out hundreds of junk sites.

Secondly, there’s the matter of traffic. Without traffic, for all intents and purposes, your website does not exist. Voodoo blogging, blogging and pinging, link exchanges, traffic exchanges, buying traffic, and many other forms of artificial traffic generation are aggressively being defanged by Google. By the way, one of the key elements involved in being a scammer is working feverishly hard to stay ahead of the game. Put all that energy and effort into legitimate avenues and you can create a rock-solid, growing income, without living with the fear of getting caught and put out of business.

While building a vast AdSense empire may be a job for scammers, the legitimate Internet entrepreneur can make a substantial income with the AdSense program.

The Strategy:

1. Find a potentially profitable niche.

2. Create a website consisting of a home page giving an overview of the chosen niche and 5 supporting pages, each focused on a particular aspect of the niche.

3. Run a five dollar AdWords campaign to get your site immediately indexed by Google. Kill the campaign after a couple of days (unless your site is getting a lot of cheap hits in which case you can try and sell something).

4. For three weeks, submit your site to five URL directories a day with a PR (Page Rank) of 4 or better. The goal is getting backlinks.

5. Submit three articles about your niche subject to article directories. No PLR articles. The goals are getting backlinks and visitors.

6. After three weeks add AdSense ads to your site.

7. Back to step 1 and repeat the process.

It is reasonable to think that an individual could properly maintain 25 to 30 such sites. By properly maintain I mean adding a couple of fresh articles a month to each site until they reach the point of saturation. Again, stay away from PLR articles.

In less than a year you could have 25 content rich websites, each averaging around $10 a day in AdSense revenue. That's $7,500 a month. Let's call it a mini-empire.

When we began updating our company's Internet marketing strategy, we figured - based on all the hype, that we should consider integrating Google's AdSense contextual advertising into it.After all we've got a lot of original content, some of which has been getting a fair amount or traffic since 1999. What we heard about AdSense made it sound like the perfect solution for us. The ads displayed are supposed to be relevant to the content on the page. We swap in the code - they do the rest, sell the ads, collect the money and send us a check. What could be better than that?

There was a catch however. In order to learn about AdSense, more than the bare bones explanation available on Google, we had to do online research, which connected us to the AdSense Internet marketers selling every sort of secret process and system anyone could imagine. The results were overwhelming.

Once I clicked on a link for more information - it all goes back to that single click, I was bombarded by the "make a fortune", "generate massive traffic", "explode your AdSense revenue", "capture high paying keywords", and the rest of the "unlimited profit from AdSense" brigade. What a bunch of baloney!

What I found out, with that first click, was if you request information from one of the AdSense "make a fortune" people, you end up getting email from them 24/7/365 and from all of their joint venture partners as well. If the get out the vote people were as effective as these marketers we'd have a 90% turnout at the polls. But I digress.

During the six months or so that we went through this I spoke to numerous business coaches and others who have been seduced by the hype and wasted their time optimizing their web sites for Google’s AdSense, which only served to get people they wanted to do business with to leave them for their competitors. They were optimizing their web sites so that people who would otherwise pay them hundreds or thousands of dollars in fees, would click on a well placed AdSense link and they'd receive thirty cents instead.

Last night, when I was thinking about this article, I received another seductive AdSense guru's email. I found myself rethinking what we are doing - that is working very well than you very much, listening and watching the video he sent and saying to myself, "Hey, it's only a hundred and thirty seven bucks, what if it works?"

Fortunately the ball game came on before I could buy it, which would have resulted in me losing my focus on what's already working. I deleted the email and put this guy on my junk mail filter's list.

So be smart, don't you get on the "make a fortune with AdSense" bandwagon. You won't make a fortune and you'll undermine everything else you're doing.

I am not saying that AdSense is a bad thing. Last month we had a click through rate of 8.53%. We'd have been nuts to overlook AdSense.

Just don't be seduced down the hype-filled path toward disillusionment. Focus your efforts on building your business, not the business of the Internet marketers who want to sell you their so-called "insider secrets".

When you do sign up for AdSense and this is a must, use it wisely - to get paid by the people who will never be your customers anyway. You won't make a zillion dollars in AdSense riches like the hucksters say you will, but that would never have happened anyway.

However, your total revenues will grow as your Internet marketing strategy becomes more effective.

You can make these and might even earn money off them, but you will have to keep making more to keep up your income, and they are likely to disappear faster and faster.

Premade AdSense sites are a mixed bag. The trouble is that many people may buy and put up the same site. How the sites are made can in part determine their success or failure.

Sites made exclusively with articles from article sites have the advantage that every person will choose different articles and the disadvantage that some articles will be on an amazing number of sites.

Private label articles have similar advantages and disadvantages, although grouped articles are more prone to all being on individual sites, making entire sites more likely to match.

Google AdSense May Soon Be Repackaged

Looks like AdSense ads in its present form just might soon be phased out eventually. There is recent news, since end of September 2006, that Google is currently running beta testing of Cost Per Action AdSense ads with a selected small group of people.

The inference is that after beta testing, Google may carry out a full international launch of CPA AdSense ads. This means that clicks on AdSense ads will not be paid. CPA AdSense ads publishers are paid only if an action is carried out by the visitor after the ad is clicked. The action can be a purchase or generating a sales lead. That is, either the visitor buys or he fills his details in a form.

The advertiser will have choice of paying for an outright sale or for getting a sales lead, depending on the nature of the business. He will also decide on how much to pay.

Thus, for the AdSense publisher, not every click will result in getting payment, but the payment would be many, many times more when a sale or a lead is generated after the click. This will be living up the Internet marketing food chain.

It will also solve the problem of click fraud which is presently costing advertisers 10 to 15 percent or more of the payments. Click fraud is an enormous nagging problem to Google.

A pertinent question is how will it affect the AdSense publishers? Will they earn more or less? The guess is that the advertisers will be more aggressive because they know that their budget results directly in sales or leads (which could very likely turn out to be sales). The risks are very much reduced and the advertisers can be expected to be very aggressive in bidding for AdWords. Thus, all in all, the AdSense publisher will stand a good chance of earning more, even with Google there taking a cut as middleman.

Now, trying to write thousands of pages of content yourself before making any money would be difficult, you'd lose interest very very quickly and even if you tried to buy that much content would be lunacy.

Plus to build a publish a website with that much content would alert the search engines who would think you are spamming them.

I've always preferred to make money constantly even if the project is only half done or in progress. I find it gives me incentive to keep going.

So this is how you need to approach it.

1. Register a catchy domain name, something like fiveminuteguides.com or learnitnow.com

2. Start writing little 500 to 750 word action plans or checklist on all sorts of topics such as your favorite hobbies and other interesting topics.

3. Publish your website with your articles and remember to add your Adsense boxes, one in the middle and one of the right hand side.

4. So you've published your site up, you have a page up on a certain topic that had a fairly high search rate and Adsense payout rate, now what? How do you make money with this page.

Write articles! For every one fly fishing type checklist write 10 to 20 articles on all sorts of subjects to do with your topic.

But how do you get people from reading your article to going to your website?

Well, not only would you mention your site within your article, (slip it in humbly) you also have your article byline you can use for that purpose.

For example

"For a complete checklist for your first fly fishing trip visit blah.com"

"For a complete step by step checklist for catching large Trout visit blah.com"

So not only will you make money instantly from your website, you will also build tons of quality content over time and you will have hundreds maybe even thousands of articles all over the Internet working for you around the clock and your site will do a heck of a lot better in the search engines due to all the incoming links!

Why Google Needs to Rethink Adsense Policies

Have you ever noticed how many irrelevant websites you find when you do a search these days. You might get a result that says something like "Top 10 Sites on Your Search Query. The resulting page will have several different links to pages that vaguely resemble your search. So, essentially you are getting a search page after your initial search just so the owner of that website can get a piece of the Google pie. While it is marketing genius on Google's end, it is a pain for both the Adwords advertiser and the user attempting the search.

A few months ago this wasn't that big of a problem. Only a few entrepreneurs were innovative enough to come up with these "junk" websites with little to no useful content, chock full of Adsense and other ads. Unfortunately, now, several "get rich quick" schemes have promoted and guided users to make their own money on the web for doing practically nothing. The result is a complete mess. One unethical entrepreneur boasted that he maintains 75000 junk sites to generate $10,000 a month in Adsense revenue. As if the internet was not cluttered enough.

What Google had originally intended to be a benefit to Adwords advertisers, such as myself, is actually creating competition for the same Adwords advertisers. That's right, Adwords advertisers are in competition with the Adsense advertisers. For example, say I sell Widgets. I want to pay a maximum of $.50 per click. Someone does a search for Widgets and clicks on an ad that says something like, "Don't Buy Widgets Unless You See This." Most users would be intrigued enough to click on it even if it is towards the bottom. This junk site probably pays $.10 for this click. The resulting page would have my ad displayed on there for the full price of $.50, netting them a $.15 profit (Google keeps about half). So, essentially, having more advertisers for a certain keyword drives the cost per click of that keyword higher and higher, so in reality, I am competing with myself to pay someone who doesn't want to work for a living.

Fortunately, there is some recourse. Google does give advertisers the option to opt out of the "Content Network" which is where these Adsense ads are displayed. The only problem with that is my competitors would have to opt out too, otherwise I am losing potential customers. Until Google disciplines these junk site advertisers, this problem will only get worse.

So now you got your Adsense account up and running, time to choose your style! As I said above I would recommend Adsense for content since this is by far the easiest way of getting targeted ads on your site that your visitors might actually click on! First you get to choose if you want to have text ads or banners (images), or a mixture of both.

My recommendation here would be to go with text ads, small discreet stuff that works very well integrated on your pages. I would go for the banner images, not just yet at least but I will get back to using banners later on.

Try to pick a size that works for you, and be very mindful about the colors you can choose from, I would definitely recommend that you try to use the same, or similar colors on the ads that you have on your own links and a href stuff. Also try to give the ads some space and if you can, give them a good position, maybe somewhere in your text block?

Next up is definitely Text Links, these are small works of wonder and works very well if places right. I will get back to these small wonders later on this page but for now the direction you should be aiming for is trying to integrate them, and if you can even try to give them the space like you would for a normal navigation menu! (but as I said before, don’t try to be a smart ass and hide the links or make them too tricky, sure you might earn some nickels on it but the chances that Google won’t like your stunt makes it NOT worth it.)

As such, it is important to make an effort to use a combination of proven SEO methods that also work well with Adsense and some program-specific maneuvers to secure the best possible ads on your site.

The main question I get from my clients when coaching them on building content sites is wether they should use Adsense or affiliate programs. It's a great question, and one that I haven't seen addressed often. Hopefully this information will help you in making your decision.

My rule of thumb is always go where the money is, but in making the decision to use Adsense or affiliate programs, there are a few things you should look at. Let's take a look at those things right now, so you know exactly what you should be putting on your site. Google Adsense or affiliate programs.

First, it will depend on your niche. If there is an affiliate program for your niche that converts well and pays well, then you should take the affiliate program route. I'm sure you would rather make dollars than you would cents, so using an affiliate program in this situation would be your best bet. However, if there isn't an affiliate program, using a pay-per-click service such as Google Adsense will at least allow you to earn a little money from your content site.

This leads to another question though. How do you tell if the affiliate program you are looking at is a good one or not?

The answer to that question will take some research, but will be well worth your time. The first thing to do is to contact the site owner or affiliate manager and ask what the average conversion rate is for the affiliate program. You could also ask if they have any affiliates that would be willing to email you their experiences with the product. Once you have the answer to that question, visit a few affiliate marketing forums and ask if anyone has promoted the program before or if they have any experience with the owner or affiliate manager of the site. Usually if it's a bad program, many people will tell you about it.

Now, if you don't find any affiliate programs for your niche, then I would use Google Adsense or any of the other programs like it. Always check though to make sure you can't make more money from something else. You don't want to be making pennies on a site you could be making dollars from. Most of the time Google Adsense just pays pennies per click. So if you got 100 clicks on your Adsense ad, and made say $5, but you got 100 clicks on an affiliate link and made $50, wouldn't it make more send to use the affiliate link on your site?

Using this as a guide will help you, but you still must test and track what works best for your site. You could put Adsense ads on your site for a few weeks, and then replace them with affiliate links for a few weeks. See what does better, and use the one that makes you more money. Just remember to keep testing and tracking!

AdSense isn't dead or even terminally ill. Read on to see the logic in this whole argument and then you can breathe a sigh of relief.

The Truth About AdSense:

First of all, do you think Google makes any money from AdSense? Of course they do. They make huge amounts of money. Is it logical to think they are going to let that revenue source just die off? No, it's not. Google isn't going to change the program to the point where it will not be profitable for you.

They are always making changes in all their programs, to make surfing the net better for everyone. If they take the profit out of AdSense, they are going to lose a bundle. They know this and they aren't going to cut that income source for themselves, therefore they aren't going to cut it off for you either.

Next, Google is enhancing the AdSense program as you read this. They just came out with a way for you to add video to your site through AdSense. If this was a dying program would Google keep improving it? Hmmm....

And Finally, the man who started this whole AdSense scare. Who is he? Where did he come from? Is he really making a killing on his alternative suggestion or is he planning on making a killing by selling you his plan. Think about that for a minute. He comes out of the clear blue claiming to be an internet millionaire yet if you read his ebook, he tells how he manages to pay his rent every month.

If you were a millionaire, would you be paying rent?!?

So the moral of this story is, AdSense is not dead. AdSense is still a great way to make a passive income on the internet. The more sites you have, the quicker you will see those big checks from Google. Don't sweat the gossip, get back to work and keep building AdSense sites.

A report came out recently claiming that AdSense is dead! I found this hard to believe since my personal AdSense business is actually gaining ground each month and making me more and more money.

After reading this report I figured out what it is all about and found several discrepancies in the authors reasoning. The report claims that the author’s own AdSense income has been falling sharply in recent months. However, if you read the report closely you will notice several flaws in the author’s thinking. The first major flaw is that the author was building AdSense sites with auto generation software. Well, there’s the reason for his decline in AdSense earnings! Anyone who builds AdSense sites knows that Google is on a mission to rid the internet of spam and junk sites that add no value to the internet. They are de indexing auto generation sites at a feverish pave. Auto generated sites simply do not work anymore (when was the last time you heard of someone using Traffic Equalizer?).

Many people have brought this point up and the author’s response was that the quality of your site only affects the traffic you receive and not the amount of money you receive per click from AdSense. This is a valid statement; however, it is only a half truth. Junk sites won’t affect you click value but they will affect your click through rate. When a visitor lands on an auto generated site the first thing they do is hit the “back button” on their web browser. Therefore, junk sites are losing traffic and have low click through rates, a recipe for disaster when it comes to making money with Google AdSense and a quick way to have your AdSense earnings tumble!

Let’s say you receive 5000 visitors a month and you are earning $1.00 per click from AdSense. If you build quality sites and your click through rate is 10% you will receive 500 clicks and earn around $500. Now, let’s imagine that you build junk sites and you still receive the same 5000 visitors but now your click through rate drops to 2%. You will receive only 100 clicks and make $100. Your income just dropped $400, which is most likely what happened to the author of this report.

The author of this report was technically right that AdSense is dead…if you are building junk sites. If you want to build a solid AdSense business that makes you money month after month, you need to create quality websites with unique content. Don’t rely on making spam sites that do nothing for your visitor and will get de indexed by Google. Build your business on solid ground and not quick sand.

AdSense has become a major part of many Internet marketers income portfolios. It's fast and easy and of course very lucrative if you take the time to learn how to implement it effectively.

Like most income streams though, there are always people out there who do their best to take advantage of the system in any way they can to maximize their earnings. Exploiting systems by taking advantage of the shortcomings or bugs in the system is generally a short term deal. As soon as the supplier finds out that they are either not getting or not providing value for their service, they will very quickly close any 'holes' and fix the bugs. When you take into account the millions of dollars that are generated from Adsense ads each month, it goes without saying that Google will go to great lengths to ensure that their advertisers are getting good value for their advertising dollar.

With this in mind, if you intend to monetize your site with Adsense and want this to be a long term income strategy you need to be familiar with the terms and conditions. Lets strip away some of the 'legalese' and take a look at some of the policies, requirements and also the type of activity that may cause your account to be terminated.

* Up to three ad units may be displayed on each Web site page - that's pretty clear. You can have up to 3 ad units, regardless of size or placement, on each of your web pages.

* A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page - again, that's easy enough to understand. The search boxes are the ones that allow you or your visitors to search the Internet or your web site using a Google Search box on your web page.

* A single link unit may be placed on each Web site page, in addition to the ad units and search boxes - the link units are a different format to standard adsense units. They provide just the link with no URL or additional text. You can have one of these in addition to your adsense ads and search boxes.

* A single referral button per product may be placed on a page - Google will pay you for referrals, but you are allowed only one referral link on each web page.

Those policies spell out what you are allowed to do. Now lets look at things you aren't allowed to do. From an advertisers point of view, the quality of the page their advertisement is displayed on will bear a relation to the quality of the visitors who actually click on this page. This is one of the reasons you are not permitted to place ad units on pages that have no other content. The rule of thumb is that you should only be placing ad units on pages that contain some sort of valuable or useful content.

The reality is that it is in your interest to provide useful content. The better your content is, the more likely it is that it will appear higher in the search engines. This in turn brings you more traffic and the traffic you get is mostly people who are interested in the subject matter of your site. These also happen to be the people who are most likely to click on your ads simply because they have come to your web site looking for information and/or products.

Other things that you need to avoid in order to protect your account include:

* Never place ad units on pornographic, racist or hate related sites.

* Never place ad units on error, registration or 'thank you' pages. Remember, the advertisers want their ads on useful, relevant pages. Common sense should tell you that these pages are neither relevant or useful for advertising. It's a bit like placing an ad inside a cabinet. Nobody goes there looking for information or products!

* Never click on any of the ads on your website. This is considered fraud (for obvious reasons). If you do accidentally click on an ad, make sure you contact Google support immediately and let them know which page and the date and approximate time.

* Never place ads on pages that you display in Traffic or surfing/hit exchanges. This is mentioned in the policies and is not permitted.

I hope this information has been useful. Adsense is a great way to earn some extra income, but you need to make the effort to ensure you are within the terms and conditions. Adsense Doesn’t Just Make “Cents”, It Makes Dollars Too!

If you are one of the many webmasters today who are trying to make money on the internet by any means possible, then you may have already considered joining the Google AdSense program.

If you haven’t yet made the jump to being an online publisher, let me be the first to tell you that you are definitely missing out of the chance of capitalizing on something that can be very profitable for you!

Google AdSense is the most popular pay-per-click program currently online, they have offered pay per click, in one form or another, longer than any other search engine on the net.

They’ve put a great deal of research and development into their keyword matching to ensure it is a profitable program. Not only have they been around the longest, but they also boast the biggest number of advertisers as well.

Google requires website owners to conform to a number of rules, including:

All pages must have at least one link that leads to it, without concealing pages.

All links must be active and work.

There is a limit of 100 links per page. Creating a hierarchy should keep your navigation clean and well under the link limit.
Tags, especially the ‘title’ and ‘alt’ tags should be explanatory and distinct.

When designing your site, create one that is helpful to a user; don’t design a page for search engines. Make sure you clearly define what your site is about.

Google forbids hidden text. Don’t colorize the text as the same color as your background, or even size the text so small it can’t be read. Google has been known to ban publishers who engage in these so called “black hat” techniques.

Google strongly recommends that you include a site map page.
They also strongly recommend you include a robots.txt file in your root directory. The robots.txt file tells website crawlers, like those that will match the ads with your website, which pages not to crawl. This is especially important if you want ads for some but not all of your content or if you have password protected pages.

Following the website design rules doesn’t make you bullet-proof, though. Even if you follow all of them, you may still be at risk of losing your AdSense account permanently or even temporarily.

If you are indeed banned by Google to display AdSense advertisements on your page, you can file a re-inclusion request. Although not very successful many times, it still gives a publisher a chance to get back into the program.

Here’s what you’ll need to include in your re-inclusion request:

Your account name

Your contact information

A list of changes you’ve made to fix any violations

A guarantee it won’t happen again

Reports and evidence of click bombing, if you have any (more on this below)

You should NOT include any threats to pull your business. Visit http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py to contact customer support. Keep your email straightforward. The subject of your email should be “Re-inclusion Request” to make sure it gets to the right desk.

Click Bombing

Click bombing is when someone clicks on one or more of the ads that appear on your webpage repeatedly.

While this seems like a great way to increase your profits, it is against Google’s policy and they are always searching for click bombers. While you can’t prevent malicious click bomb attacks, you can take steps to defend yourself should you be accused of it.

Consider investing in a third party tracking software program that is approved by Google. Look for one that tracks IP addresses.

Run reports often, and keep them stored separately from your Google account. Should you be removed from the AdSense program, you won’t necessarily have access to run reports.
If or when you are removed or fined by Google for AdSense abuse, make sure you send copies of your IP address reports along with your re-inclusion request.

As mentioned before, even if you follow all the rules of appeal and properly request a re-inclusion, you are not guaranteed a reversal. It seems most requests to be reinstated are not acted upon by Google.

Google’s policy has been always one of “protecting the advertiser by any means necessary”. Unfortunately, this may mean kicking a legitimate publisher out of the program needlessly if they’ve been targeted by a malicious person.

Earnings Calculations

So how much money can be made in the AdSense program? Publishers can earn A LOT. From 10 cents a day, to over one hundred thousand dollars a day. Of course this is all dependant on how much traffic your website gets as well as how well you integrate the advertisements. But how does Google calculate per click how much that you, the publisher, gets paid? This is the fuzziest of all gray areas in the AdSense program. Google admittedly doesn’t disclose revenue share or whether the ads appearing on your site are cost-per-impression or cost-per-click. What they do tell you is how many page impressions (ads shown), number of clicks on the ads, page click through rate (CTR) and your earnings. Increase your impressions, number of clicks or CTR, and your earnings will follow.

Alternatives

If you’ve been removed from AdSense or are just looking for another option, there are a few to choose from:

Yahoo! Publisher Network is very similar to AdSense. Experienced webmasters who have used both Google and Yahoo! programs believe Yahoo! is second best, but still a very good, profitable program. As it becomes more popular, more advertisers will jump on board with Yahoo thus creating a PPC race with Google.

Chitika – A pay per click advertising stream. They don’t have as many or such a variety as AdSense or Yahoo!, but are usually less expensive to advertise on.

AdBrite is very similar to Chitika, though slightly smaller.

There you have it in a nutshell, utilizing Google’s AdSense program to increase your own profits truly does make “cents”..and dollars. How much you can earn is dependant on how much targeted traffic you can get to your site as well as how well you can integrate the advertisements in the site design as well. More than anything, an invalid click is a big no-no and it will get your account terminated faster than anything else. Having said that, an invalid click is when a publisher clicks on their own ads to add to their earning potential . Invalid clicks are also unnecessary as there are plenty of money-making opportunities with valid clicks. With an optimized website, useful content, and attractive ads, theres no reason for anybody to even entertain the idea of using invalid clicks.

Having Control Over Your Adsense Account

You the publisher, have complete control over the advertisement that runs on your site. You can choose to run only image ads, only text ads, or a combination of both. Google recommends that you choose a combination of both to maximize your earning potential, but the decision is yours.

When making your ad decision, you also have the freedom to choose which type of ads run across your entire account (image or text) or you can narrow that decision to what type of ad might run on a particular page.

As of right now, you are not able to differentiate your image ad click rate from your text ad click rate. You can of course, differentiate your click rate from one site as opposed to another site. Say, for example, you run only image ads on one site and only text ads on another site. By setting up channels to track both sites, you can see which site has the better click rate. Of course, you have to take into consideration there would be more factors than whether you were running text or image ads. The content, the placement of the ads in general, even the color could make a difference.

Since its introduction in 2003, the Google Adsense program has greatly help bloggers defray hosting charges and other costs related to running blogs. Blogging can be very expensive especially when you have high levels of traffic and numerous pages. Many are turning to Google Adsense to generate some revenue from their blogs and what’s more, earn some extra on the side.

What Google Adsense Is

Adsense is an advertising program run by Internet giant Google. Google Adsense allows you (blog owner) to sell advertising space on your blog. The program enables you to display relevant text and banner ads on your blog’s content pages. Banner ads are the most common form of online advertising displayed at the top of many blog pages. Google pays you a fee when the visitor clicks on the ad.

When you join the Adsense program, you get access to Adsense for content which places ads on your content pages. Because the ads are targeted to what visitors are looking for on your blog or they match the interests of the visitors your content attracts, you earn and at the same time enhance your content pages. Google uses its vast search technology resources to serve ads based on blog content. In this regard, Adsense has become a popular choice for placing advertisements on a blog because the content of the ads is relevant to the blog. For example, ads for kitchen utensils will appear on a blog post about healthy cooking. Google has an extensive inventory of ads for all categories, business, practically for all kinds of content. If Google is unable to display targeted ads on your blog page, you can display a default ad of your choice.

A companion to the Adsense for content is the Adsense for search. It allows you to add a Google search box on your pages. This keeps the visitors on your blog longer since they can search from right on your blog. When a visitor searches the web using the search box, Google shares any ad revenue it makes from those searches with you and you shell nothing to participate.

Another recent addition is the Adsense for feeds. This runs on RSS and Atom feeds. RSS and Atom feeds are standards for publishing regular updates to blog-based content. Ads are displayed in the most suitable feed articles. You are paid for your blog’s original content; visitors see appropriate advertising and more relevant feeds to choose from.

How to Join

There is no rigid criteria to conform to for acceptance into the Google Adsense program, unlike other online ad networks that place minimum traffic requirement to be accepted. The only real criterion is acceptable content. Of course, any ad program wants to attract quality content blogs only. Assuming you already have a blog on which you can include Adsense links, you first need to be accepted into the program. The first step is to go to http://www.google.com/adsense to sign up. Google will review your blog to find out if you have the necessary traffic and the content that would bring in sufficient clicks to make your taking part in the program beneficial to Google and to you.

Once you are accepted, all you need is a bit of javascript code to incorporate the advertisements into the accepted blog site. Google does the rest like providing appropriate ad links from its inventory of clients to your blog. Targeted ads will start showing up on your blog.

How It Works

There are two sides to Google advertising – one for advertisers selling a product or service called Adwords and Adsense for blog publishers. Advertisers pay Google to have their ads designed using Adwords appear next to the search page results in Google and a list of significant keywords for their offerings. Google will display an ad only if the provided keywords conform to a visitor search. An advertiser pays Google on a cost per click (CPC) basis. This means an advertiser pays only for that ad if the visitor clicks on the ad and visits the advertiser’s site. Advertisers compete with one another to buy search keywords usually from five cents and above. Nevertheless, Google also takes into consideration the search engine ranking of the advertiser blog, so no one site can just buy keywords. For example, a purchase of the keywords “digital camera” produces ads next to Google search result in its home page. Said purchase also shows Adsense ads for digital cameras on other blogs where digital cameras are mentioned.

For their part, blog publishers using Adsense create relevant pages. Google sends out Mediabots (digital robots) which use special algorithms to crawl the host blog page and evaluate the content to determine what keywords are relevant and report the result to Google’s ad server which then serves the appropriate ads. Blog publishers get paid a percentage of the fee that Google receives from the advertiser. This is done through a combination of a pay per click (PPC) and pay per impression basis. Impression is the number of times a specific ad has been displayed. A blog publisher is reimbursed at a fixed rate per thousand impressions. If a page isn’t significant enough, a blog publisher doesn’t get paid as much. There is no charge for the blog publisher to join Adsense. All costs are covered by the advertiser who participates in Adwords.

How Much Money It Makes

The amount of money you (blog publisher) can expect from Google Adsense depends upon several factors. If your blog draws tons of traffic and you focus on a particular niche, Google will serve ads that appeal to visitors of your site. For instance, if you maintain a popular blog devoted to portable media player, you can make a windfall because of the high level of competition for related keywords. Rates for competitive keywords can exceed $1 which impacts your blog’s earning potential. Conversely, if you are in a less competitive niche, you get occasional traffic only, thus less visitors click on your ads which equates to less money earned.

How much each advertisement pays per generated click is also another important factor. Each Adsense ad is not worth the same. An ad may give you ten cents while another may give you $1 per click. It depends on the demand for that kind of ad. If a number of advertisers are bidding for the same advertising space, the advertiser offering the most per click will get their ad displayed first.

Ad formats and placements influence revenue. Placing ads on the right part of the blog page is significant so that visitors looking at your page will see the ad, at the same time it will be not be overly intrusive to put visitors off.

Fundamentally though, it is all about content. To make money from Adsense, you have to know what your visitors are looking for. It may be information on a topic, a product they want to buy or a service they want to avail of and entertainment. Offering visitors good content will generate highly relevant ads which in turn will draw more clicks on the ads displayed. To optimize content, the same basic rules for search engine optimization apply.

Google doesn’t publish the percentage it takes as a commission and only displays what the blog owner receives in member reports. However, you can make a rough estimate. The average click through rate (CTR) for online advertising is generally around 0.5 to 1%. CTR is the rate at which visitors click an advertisement usually calculated as a percentage of ad impressions (number of times a specific ad has been displayed). What each click pays is dependent on the content and keywords that are generating the ads being served.

Although Google doesn’t release the amount it pays for keywords, you can sign up as an advertiser on top of being a participant in the Adsense program for $5 and see for yourself how much advertisers are paying Google for various click through. For example, a thousand page views with Google ads on them per day, at 1% click through rate and 25 cents per click will yield $2.50 per day. Not a lot but it can cover hosting fees or service fees.

Google Adsense is not a get rich quick program. But there are documented cases of bloggers earning as much as $5,000 a month and more. In fact, Jason Calacanis sold his blog network, Weblogs Inc. for a whopping $25 - $40 million on Google Adsense revenues of $1 million yearly. There isn’t any sense why a blogger can’t earn much from Google Adsense program. Definitely, there are thousands of dollars worth of reasons to make money from Google Adsense.

Next go inside the folder and in there save a text file, but not just any normal text file I want you to put in all the details of your google adsense ad units. From color to placement everything covered in my channels article. Now that you know what time frame and what the ads you are you know everything about what you did with your google adsense units. Save that file to that corresponding folder. And at the end of the week save the CVS file you get to that folder. This way you not only have what you did but the fruits of your labor as well. Now this assumes you don't change your google adsense ad units during the weeks, and just wait for a new week to try something new. At the end of the month you can decide which methods worked to bring you more revenue. This is just one of the many ways you can use google adsense custom reporting to your advantage.

Also keep in mind that nothing is set in stone so if you think a color combination can do better in a different place other than the one your research provided then by all means try it out. I've been following this latest fantastic little adventure in internet marketing with a great deal of interest.

The Death of AdSense isn't something new. Savvy, big time players (these are NOT most Internet Marketing Gurus) have always said that AdSense isn't a business - it's something that can, CAN, generate an income, but which requires an exit strategy into a real business.

Now, you can take this several ways. It is possible to construct a more or less viable business model around AdSense. But, you need to have a lot more resources than most people who try AdSense as an income source have.

I'm sorry, but this is reality. For most (by which I mean somewhere between 95 and 98% of the people putting up AdSense sites), it's penny scraping and it's hard and it's getting harder.

Sure thing, you can build "authority sites." Uh huh. With PLR content? You think? I doubt it but try it and see.

Let's see who else I can get angry at me.

AdSense content ads still pay decent money in competitive markets - the problem is that competitive markets are difficult to get ranking in and therefore traffic for. Oh, it's possible, but it's an awful lot of work.

The major problem most MFA publishers face is that they don't do the work. Slap up a site and on to the next. Grab a template with a bunch of crummy content and HOPE you'll make a buck or 50 cents a day. Now that's nuts.

CPA (click per action), particularly for decent leads has generally always paid substantially more than something like AdSense. It is something you can establish a stable long-term business on. As long as you can get the traffic.

You can, certainly, get traffic through PPC. You can also lose your shirt. It's not a newbie game. If you're going to do PPC, you have got to do some serious studying and track everything very closely or you can go broke in short order.

Think about this. Say I do a monster hot viral deal and bag 27,000 marketers. And I turn them onto CPA at places that pay me a commission on sign up and a small percentage of the business those new affiliates bring in. Now, we're talking a little serious continuity. Month after month I'm getting a little bit from the efforts of what - 1000, 8000, 12000 people? Bring me another one of those funky drinks with the umbrella, the sun is strong and the beach is beautiful.

Is that worth 50 cents per? I suspect so. And eventually, there's going to be one or more dyn-o-mite products with major price tags, too.

Boy, I'm seriously jealous. We're talking genuine genius stuff here. You see, it doesn't matter a damn whether AdSense is dead or not. A new path can be worth a fortune to those who didn't have a clue - and who are willing to do the learning and the work to make it happen. Most won't, of course. It's a lot of work. But some will and they should do very well.

In one sense, Ad Sense has always been dead. You're throwing away your traffic for pennies. And it's a lot of work to get ANY traffic.

But for most, CPA is going to be a dangerous and potentially ruinous game. It sounds terrific, but nobody's telling you how to get those PPC costs for your landing pages down from maybe 5 or 10 bucks per click. Hey, wake up, remember the Google slap, landing page quality measures, etc.

There are some brilliant, knowledgeable, capable people running around loose who do give out valuable information. They aren't stupid. That means they do it for a reason. You can use their information to improve your business, but you absolutely have to get a grip on their goals too. You have to understand not only what you're doing and why but what they're doing and why.

You are going to have to stop believing blindly everything that sounds terrific and matches, more or less, your own experience. Ugly, but you have to use your head and actually think.

A zillion lemmings running blindly after the latest greatest revelation - it's the same stupid game of looking, over and over, for the one miraculous tool, idea, concept, piece of software that's going to make you a fortune. It isn't going to happen. The magic bullet doesn't exist. Stop wasting your time and money.

Create a workable plan - one you can actually carry out. MFA, affiliate sales, creating your own product, CPA (if you can do the PPC or are willing to learn). Any one of these can make you money. If you stop screwing around looking for the answer and the easy money. There is NO easy money. It's all either work (for most of us) or sheer bloody genius combined with an insane amount of luck (for the few).

Well, I hope I managed to offend everybody who's pulling your chain to suck a couple more nickels out of you. If not, maybe in my next article. But you - you have got to do some very serious work on your BS detector. You need to understand how you are being done to and why. It isn't necessarily a bad thing. You are getting really valuable information, but you still need to evaluate and understand it, not accept it as if Moses were dumping one of those stone tablets on you. Even I'm trying to sell you stuff.

Top Paying Adsense Keywords - It's Not Just About The Keywords...

Google adsense has been a magnificent way for webmasters to increase their revenue because they can turn their traffic into money. The more traffic you have, the more potential you have for earning money.

Many sites on the Internet, including mine, give out information on the top paying adsense keywords. These are the keywords that have been bid on the most on Google Adwords or Miva etc. It must be said though that the figure advertisers are bidding for these keywords is nowhere near what you will receive as a webmaster.

For example, let's take the keyphrase "Car Insurance". Advertisers are bidding between $42.53 - $53.95 for this keyphrase. Before you work out roughly how much you could earn, you need to do the following:

1. Make sure that your website contains lots of content surrounding your chosen keyword. Do not put in the keyphrase hundreds of times; just make sure that you have evenly 'sprinkled' your phrase in your content. It needs to read well, and it needs to be informative to your visitors.

2. Make sure that your keyphrase is in your main heading

3. Make sure, if you can, that your keyphrase is your subheading. For numbers 2 & 3, you can add other words to your heading and subheading, but just make sure that your phrase is within it.

4. Make sure that if you have any images relating to your keyphrase, that the 'alt text' contains that phrase.

Right, now that you have ensured the above, you have increased the chances of earning top money when Google Adsense ads are placed and clicked on your website.

The general rule for working out how much you could expect to earn is to take the average Google Adwords CPC (i.e. - how much they are bidding for your keyphrase of interest), divide it by 2, and then divide that figure by 10.

The amount you get left with is a conservative figure for what you could expect to earn.

For example; the average CPC for car insurance is approximately $48.24.

$48.24 / 2 = $24.12
$24.12 / 10 = $2.41

As I just mentioned, this is an extremely conservative figure, but it is a lot more realistic that you will earn $2.41 when you start advertising for this keyphrase to begin with. It is very likely, as I will explain below, that this figure will increase if your site receives lots of traffic, has a high page ranking, and is therefore reputable to Google.

You must remember that Google knows if your website has just appeared up overnight, and there is no way that the top bidders' adverts for your chosen keyphrase will be put up on your site. That makes sense though, because if you were an advertiser bidding $50 say for car insurance, you wouldn't want your highly priced ad to appear on an overnight site, you would much prefer that it appeared on a very popular and reputable site.

Therefore, what you need to bear in mind is that as your site increases in popularity and page ranking, you will gradually get higher priced ads appearing on your site, which means that you will increase your earnings potential.

Many of these websites offering the top paying adsense keywords fail to mention these points, and many webmasters often become confused when they are only earning a few dollars per click instead of $50, which they were led to believe.

How Google Matches Up Adwords Advertisers With Websites Displaying Adsense

Introduction to Adwords and Adsense

Google Adwords and Adsense are two sides of the same coin. They work hand in hand to deliver targeted ads to prospective customers and create revenue for advertisers, website owners, and of course - Google.

Adwords is a targeted ad system offered by Google to advertisers. Advertisers submit a list of keywords or phrases for their ads, which triggers them to be shown on a website or in Google’s search engine results pages (SERPs). Advertisers pay Google for each click the ads generate.

Adsense, on the other hand, is an ad serving program that allows website owners to unobtrusively display relevant text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites. It is also a way for website owners to add Google search in their websites and to earn money by displaying ads on the search results pages. The ads posted on each site are administered by Google and creates revenue for the website owner. Although website owners need not pay to join the program they still get paid for each click received by the ads shown on their site or for the every thousand times a specific ad appears on the website. This is why AdSense is called a pay-per-click and pay-per-impression program.

Keyword Targeting and Site-Targeted Advertising

As mentioned earlier, Adwords and Adsense are two sides of the same coin. For both programs to work they need the other. Adsense affiliates need the data provided by Adwords advertisers to be able to display relevant ads in their websites. But how does Google know which ads are relevant? How does Google match the ads to the websites?

In their Adsense FAQ, Google answered the question. According to Google they use Google search and page-ranking technologies to deliver the ads to the websites. Google matches advertisers and websites using two different techniques – keyword targeting and site-targeted advertising. The choice as to which technique will be used in the matching process is up to the advertiser.

Keyword Targeting

Keyword targeting uses keywords or key phrases to match the ads to websites. Google compares the keywords to the content in a website and decides whether the ads will be relevant the site’s visitors. However, Google matches the ads to the websites not only using the simple keyword matching described above but also using a complicated algorithm that factors in keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web. What that algorithm is, of course Google will not tell.

Site-targeted Advertising

Site-targeted advertising is an option Google offers to its advertisers. In site-targeted advertising advertisers are allowed to pick the sites that they want their ads to appear in. This site-targeted advertising option is beneficial for advertisers who know their target audience and the sites they regularly visit. This option does not use the complicated algorithm used in keyword matching. Instead it simply matches the ads to the websites as requested by the advertisers in a straightforward manner. This option is just as effective as the keyword matching option if the advertiser was able to choose the best sites for them to appear. Best being sites whose majority of visitors belongs to the advertisers’ target audience.

The Need for More Websites as Advertising Hosts

Adsense and other targeted advertising systems have proven to be very effective and are so popular nowadays that there is a need for more available advertising spots in websites accommodate the number of Adwords advertisers. There are many websites out there willing to profit from ads but since Google is after quality and relevance, not just any site will. There is a need for good web pages to serve as advertising host. A good web page means that the web page has rich content and also has a lot of traffic or visitors. Even if a website has good content but generates little traffic it would not be a good advertising host since the ads will be seen only by a few. The new method will then be used by Google to help them present new quality sites to their Adword advertisers who want the option of site-targeted advertising.

Google’s New Method

Last May 4, 2006 a new patent filed by Google entitled Determining prospective advertising hosts using data such as crawled documents and document access statistics (US Patent Application 20060095322) was published. The patent listed Timothy Matthew Dierks as inventor. The patent describes the new method that Google will use, or most probably is using already, to help discover new websites and web pages that can serve as advertising hosts for their Adwords ads. The method will be used for three basic purposes as summarized by William Slawski on his article Google on Improving Adsense/Adwords. The three basic uses are:

1. Accepting websites as advertising sites/hosts
2. Scoring the web pages in terms of expected page views and ad revenue per page view
3. Sorting the documents based on their scores

After sorting the documents based on their scores the viable web pages will then be presented to advertisers for their consideration. Websites and/or pages chosen by the advertisers will then be used as their ads host.

Some of the information that will be presented by Google about the web pages to help advertisers make their choice are:

1. Features of the web page
2. Content on the web page
3. Information about the web page (i.e. host)
4. Importance or quality of a web page
5. Characteristics of the web pages’ visitors
6. Absolute position of the ad in the web page and its position relative to the other ads on the page
7. Absolute size of the ad and its size relative to the other ads
8. The ad’s color
9. The number of other ads that will be running on the page
10. The types of other ads that will run on the page
11. Time of the day, week, and year the ad will be served…and more.

Here are a view tips on how to maximise your profit.

1. Place your adsense blocks in the hot spots of your site. Those hot spots are in the top of the page, the left or the right side and in the center of the page. If will place an adsense in the footer of a website that has a lot of content you can just figure it out for yourself that people will get rarely to that ad.

2. The colors of the adsense links must have the same colors of your site's links.

3. Don't make your site's background color a dark one. People won't be able to read the content very good and won't see the adsense links that well either. Keep your background color white. You can't go wrong with that.

4. Make your adsense blocks blend with the content. As long as you make people think the adsense links are part of your site they'll keep clicking those ads and make you the money.
Put the ads exactly below your top menu and make it look like it shows some submenus.
You can also put it in the center of your site right next to your site's content. That way people will think those links are related to the content and will click on them.

5. Another trick I've seen that it's starting to catch up is putting some small images on top of your adsense links. The eyes of the visitors are more attracted to the images than the text sow you get them to look at the ads in a short time. They'll think the links have relevancy with the images and once again they'll click on them.

The Death of Google Adsense And Other Myths by Titus Hoskins

Recent changes in the Google Adsense program has many online website owners and marketers seriously concerned. Many have seen their Adsense profits and income flatline... seen their four or five figure monthly Adsense income disappear overnight. For many the Google Adsense bubble has burst.

What happened?

First, Google made a change in its Adsense program, letting advertisers choose between putting their ads in the search results or on the content pages of Adsense publishers. Search won out and started to receive the higher bids. Search results convert better than content ads.

Next, Google has cracked down on Junk Adsense sites, like they should. These sites consisted mainly of software generated re-hashed search engine links and were totally annoying to say the least. But Google also cracked down on 'squeeze pages' or 'affiliate landing pages' - a lucrative source of income for many online marketers, mainly because these pages helped marketers build an opt-in list or use permission based email.

The results of these changes produced an Adsense meltdown for many online marketers.

Some Internet marketers are speculating recent changes could even mean the death of Adsense. One online marketer, Scott Boulch even published a free report entitled 'The Death of Adsense".

Many affiliate marketers would agree with Boulch on many of his points, especially the obvious fact that using Adsense on your web content is starting on the bottom rung of the online marketing ladder. Instead of receiving pennies per click with Adsense, alert marketers and webmasters have already discovered that by using CPA (Cost-Per-Action) and direct affiliate links, they can produce significantly more revenue from their web pages. Why earn pennies per click when you can earn $5, $10 or OVER $100 per click?

But the fine people at Google are catching on...

In the past Google has made its own swing to the Cost-Per-Action direction with its referral system for the Firefox Browser and giving webmasters credit for signing up Adwords and Adsense accounts.

Many online marketers believe Google needs to expand on these baby steps and open their Adsense affiliate program up to third party products/advertisers. In a recent company statement Google offered some hope: "We're always looking for new ways to provide effective and useful features to advertisers, publishers, and users," the company stated "As part of these efforts we are currently testing a cost-per-action (CPA) pricing model to give advertisers more flexibility and provide publishers another way to earn revenue through AdSense." Basically, in cost-per-action, advertisers pay for leads, purchases or customer acquisition. It would help with the click fraud issue and the monetary returns could potentially make Adsense's revenues pale in comparison.

As more and more commerce goes online... acquiring customers for such diverse services as insurance, real estate, telephone, marketing, web hosting, travel, mortgage loans, cable TV, banking... you name it, almost any service or product sold in the marketplace is now turning to the Internet for customers and lifelong clients.

Enormous sums of money will change hands. Perhaps, the most lucrative of these is customer acquisition. Advertisers are turning to the Internet and webmasters/marketers for acquiring these lifelong customers for their respective services and products. Businesses and companies are quickly realizing paying an attractive lead generating fee/commission is smart business. They quickly build a client base for their services or products and quickly recoup their expenses - realizing in the long run these leads will generate huge profits.

It can also mean huge profits for the CPA networks like ValueClick's Commission Junction and Rakuten's LinkShare who supply the advertisers with publishers and website marketers to harvest these leads. It can be a lucrative venture for all involved, especially for those online marketers who have cornered the search engines for lucrative niche markets in big ticket items. Even small ticket items pay quite well for those marketers who know how to market online.

Contextual advertising is fine, but CPA (Cost-Per-Action) will offer much better returns for the website owner. Making any profitable site much more profitable. It will and is opening up a whole area of marketing opportunities that never existed before we had the Internet. Creating a complex structure of advertisers, publishers and the Affiliate/CPA companies that connect the two.

Of course, cutting out the middle man has always been even a more profitable venture for most marketers. As more and more webmasters realize they can make much more with dealing directly with companies, rather than going through a middle process like Google Adsense or the countless other affiliate/CPA networks ... online marketers can reap even bigger rewards.

For an online marketer when you get a phone call or email from the CEO or the affiliate manager with a company or service you're promoting with your website - you know you have made it! Dealing directly with a company usually means bigger commissions and special exclusive deals just for you or your sites.

Only fly in the ointment, all that extra paperwork and business wheeling and dealing. Many marketers and website owners like the idea of someone else handling all the tracking, collecting payments, promotional materials... they just like to sit back and build more websites and content. It gives the affiliate marketer a lifestyle that they are looking for on the web. They just like to market and promote with their sites and let someone else worry about the details. Therefore, there will always be a place for contextual ads like Google Adsense... Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated...

However, could CPA be a better alternative for the current Adsense contextual ads?

Google would be the natural choice for a middleman if there ever was one. Besides, many savvy marketers know the Google brand name is trusted online, any product/service promoted through Google would be an easy sell. Many argue Google already dominates the web, why should it not be the one to handle these CPA transactions through its Adsense program.

On the flip side, over countless updates and changes to its indexing, many webmasters have experienced more than a few negative dealings with Google. Many have won, many have lost in this Google Age, but all have realized riding the Google Search Engine is like running with the bulls at Pamplona, totally thrilling unless you're one of the unfortunate few who get trampled in the process.

If you could put your Google Adsense ads into every email you send out, how much money could you make?

It is well known that Google Adsense does not allow its publishers to put their Google Adsense codes in their emails.

If you can't bring your Google Adsense ads to your email readers, than maybe you should be bringing your email readers to your Google Adsense ads.

Huh, you say?

Let me explain.

Over the last few months I have been experimenting with Google Adsense and testing various strategies and tactics to continually grow my Google Adsense daily revenues.

Using this email traffic tactic that I am about to tell you about, I was able to more than double my daily Google Adsense revenues.

This is just *one* of many strategies to increase your Google Adsense income instantly.

Ready?

Instead of putting all your content into your emails, you should simply create a teaser for your content in your emails and make your reader click on a link to your web site to get the rest of the content.

For example, if you have an autoresponder course spread over a few days, put each day on a web page instead and force your readers to go to your web pages to read each day of the course.

Using this tactic allows you to put your Google Adsense ads beside, above, below and in the content on your web site and you get more click-thrus on your Google Adsense ads.

Of course, the key to getting your reader to your web site is to create a killer teaser copy in each email to get a good click-thru rate.

You should split-test to see what killer teaser copy gets a better click-thru rate and keep improving.

This includes what you put in the subject line and what you put in the body of your emails.

Just imagine an autoresponder sequence of 20-30 emails simply directing traffic to web pages with quality content and Adsense ads.

How much money would you make? Stop imagining and start doing!

Google Adsense - Don't Lose Your Account

Adsense is great - yeah? Thanks to our chums at Google, lots of bloggers and webmasters finally have the opportunity to earn real money online. There's nothing spammy or scammy involved, you just host ads on your site or blog and get paid whenever someone clicks on them.

However, it seems that everytime you visit a forum where Adsense is discussed, there is nearly always someone posting that they lost their Google Adsense account - and the opportunity to earn money online - for no good reason.

No doubt about it - Google can seem a bit high handed at times - and I'm sure a lot of people have had their accounts terminated who have not, knowingly at least, violated Googles terms and conditions.

By the way, if you haven't read through Google's Terms and Conditions then you should definitely do this as soon as you can.

There are some parts where you may feel the need to enlist the help of a lawyer, or possibly a team of lawyers, but you never know, it might stop you getting your account terminated due to some accidental infraction on your part. Like the majority of legal systems, Google operates on the principle that ignorance of the law is no excuse.

One of the most common breach of Google's Ts & Cs, which can be seen almost every day, is people who are advertising their blogs or sites on traffic exchanges. This is a big no-no for Google - it comes under the category of encouraging a third party to generate invalid impressions.

Note that there is no necessity for any clicks to be generated by this method. The very act of putting your site, with Adsense code, into rotation on a traffic exchange is enough to get you banned.

So, if you are one of the many webmasters or bloggers who are using exchanges to drive traffic to your site then either stop it now, or remove the Adsense ads from the page you are advertising. Otherwise you run the risk of losing your Adsense account.

Adsense? It's all the rage so why is hardly anybody making any money from Adsense? There are more folk making $1 than $7,500 so what's all the hype about?

Learning how to earn an income using Adsense is actually very simple. You can fork out your $50 or $100 and that's the learning curve done with. It's only a matter of placing the Adsense code in a certain position on your web pages. Even the experts have differing views on this so remember to buy a good Adsense tracker that will let you know exactly what's happening on your pages.

Like everything else, it's just adopting a consistent and methodical approach to your Adsense marketing.

The huge problem that hardly anybody tells you about before you buy the Adsense product is that you really must have traffic to your site to make it work. Many people think that by being accepted for a Google Adsense account means that Google is going to send traffic your way. It doesn't work like that. You are responsible for getting your own traffic.

So, like just about everybody else, you are now stuck with a $50 Adsense product, highly optimized web pages and, well, I guess a $50 Adsense product and highly optimized we pages!

It's the old cart before the horse system and I fell foul of it myself so I can sympathize with you. Get traffic to your website first. Don't get hung up on Adsense and don't go spending money on ANY Adsense product until you have website visitors. I'm not talking a "flood" as the gurus like to call it but a nice gently trickle to start off with will do just fine.

As a side note you don't actually have to buy any Adsense product. All the information is given on the Adsense help pages, the Adsense blog is great and the guys at Adsense support are really efficient and helpful. Buying an Adsense product does however make you feel more "comfortable" because you are doing what someone else is doing and if it works for them then it must work for you - right?

Work on getting traffic and building your list.

One of the best ways you can do this is to write and submit articles. It is probably the cheapest and most effective method to build your traffic, build your list and build your rankings in the Search Engines.

It won't happen overnight but if done correctly it won't take that long. Don't get hung up on Google. It could take months to be indexed but article syndication builds those all important anchor text links back to your website which Google loves so you are preparing the ground.

Other Search Engines will probably pick you up very quickly and it is surprising where your link will be found. The smaller niche search engines will definitely index you and send a small amount of traffic and also provide a one way anchor text link.

If you don't think you can write articles then think again and give it some serious consideration. Think of the fun you can have and the knowledge you can gain from researching new topics. The web will always be hungry for quality content.

The latest craze of producing 1000's of sub-standard articles in seconds using software will be over before long as the search engines really don't want this rubbish in their database.

Build your website with quality content, submit quality articles and watch your income soar - and it doesn't have to be with Adsense!

How to Increase Your Google Adsense CTR

This is the second part of two series of articles about How to Increase Your Google Adsense CTR. Here are some other tips to increase your Google Adsense CTR:

7. Place an image near your ads because user tends to look at this section.
8. Use channel to track your ads performance.
9. Include Google Search Box in your website. Though it will not drastically increase your CTR, it's still worth to be used. Around 3% of my monthly income comes from Google Search Box. What I love about this facility is that it shortens my development process. I don't have to develop my own search facility and let Google handles it!
10. Do not click your own ads, or ask people to click it. Believe me, Google will be able to detect those illegal clicks and they will ban your Adsense account if you do it. In fact, I even suggest you emailing Google if you find out your CTR is "abnormal" (above 30%). Ask them to investigate it, in case one of your competitors tries to ruin your reputation.
11. Increase your traffic. There are many ways to increase your traffic; firstly you have to do SEO (Search Engine Optimization), then submitting your website to several search engines, directories, free articles directories, doing link baiting, and many more. I will discuss all these techniques in another article.
12. Many people suggest targeting high paying keywords. But I won't recommend the same thing because I'm sure you will face bloody competition to reach the top position in SERPS (Search Engine Result Pages). Believe me, there are thousands of people who also think like you do. I would prefer to use popular keywords that many people search in Google and there are not many competitors (let's say, 200 – 400 searches a day with total competitors below 500,000). These maybe are not high paying keywords (they usually only pay $0.1 - $1/click); but imagine if you can get 1000 page views/day with 3% CTR, you already get $3 - $30/day! (for a new publisher, this is a very good start).
13. Being specific. If you have many interests, do not put them into a single website. You better create several websites for each of them. For example, you like baking cake, cooking and gardening. Do not put them together into a single website because it will make it too general. You better create three different websites for each of them. This will make them more specific, has more targeted visitors and your keywords will not be diluted.
14. Learn what "masters" say. You will find many valuable tips by joining Google Adsense forum such as http://forums.digitalpoint.com.
15. Be patient. If you are a new Google Adsense publisher, please remember one thing: BE PATIENT. You won't become a millionaire within a night. Everything takes time (unless you already have a huge amount of traffic).

There is so much information on search engine optimization for Google Adsense, it is actually confusing. Some of us that are not SEO Pros search look for some way to make sense of all this Optimization talk. We buy software, ebooks, read articles and in some cases pay to have our sites optimized. Many advertisers say that they will optimize your site to the top 10 in ten search engines. They fail to tell you which engines until after you sign up and find yourself optimized to some unknown search engine that gets you zero traffic. Sound familiar? Yes, we all want to work at home and make some money so we buy and buy and buy.

I went through all of that. Then I started analyzing what it all boils down to. There are some steps and if you read carefully Google tells you exactly what they are, but we do not read them because we are too busy reading the Guru e-books that we paid some heavy dollars for so we could learn the "secret".

What I learned was that you simply do certain things that are not to difficult. First select your business. This requires doing keyword research to find a Niche where you can compete. Do not try to compete with the big guns. This usually results in you selecting keywords that are a phrase of three or more words. Then you need to find out how much competition they have. There are many free tools to help you do this. Plus the Gurus will try to sell you the one that is different and new, never been seen before!!!!. I like Nichebot. It is free. Like most programs they have an upgrade where you can search thousands of keywords. You don't need thousands, just about three phrases will do and you can do this with the free version.

So my advise is first find your Adsense Niche, potential keywords. The next thing we want to do is find out if Google will send you any ads for people to click on. That will be the subject of my next Article.

Google Adsense: What About Buying From Guru's and Multiple Sites

I have a number of different Websites but would like to have just one Google Adsense Account. How many adsense accounts do I need?

In fact, all you need is one account. The more sites you have displaying Google Adsense ads, the more money you will make. You don’t even have to notify Google of the new sites. Be sure that any new site you add conforms to Google Adsense Program Policies, because if your account gets terminated for any reason, you would not be able to display the Google Adsense ads on any of them.

It is recommended that for each site you use a different channel. A channel is a method that Google has set up which allows a way to see how each site is bringing in visitors as well as the intake of money.

Once you add a channel all you have to do is copy and paste the ad layout code into the site.

The same rules apply when adding an Adsense for Search box to your new site. Simply choose all the parameters from the choices displayed, copy the code to the new site or new pages within the old site. As in the beginning, Google’s webcrawler will detect the code and you’re all set.

If you try some info about Google Adsense you’ll see what I mean. There are those promising they make thousands and thousands of dollars a month from Google Adsense and they are willing to share their “secrets” with you – for a price.

The fact is Google Adsense will tell you everything you need to know – for free. They have a support site that covers virtually everything you would need to know about the program and experience will teach you the rest, although I admit I have seen a couple of interesting books on amazon.com.

There are a lot of people out there in cyberspace who will gladly answer your questions for free and there are many forums where you can post questions. You can even email the Google Adsense Support Staff if you have questions that their Support Site doesn’t answer.

Experience will probably be your best teacher anyway. And the good news is the Google Adsense program makes that experience painless in that you have nothing lose. So just take a chance on yourself for now. Learn everything you can to maximize your earning potential. And read from reliable sources. Ask others who do it.

OK. Now You have one website that you have build an optimized for Adsense. You have promoted this website as good as you can. There are 100-200 unique visitors daily. How mach money this site brinks to you? $1 or $2 daily. What have you to do now? Promote this website or build another one?

It depends of website and your SEO skills. If you are not SEO guru, build another adsense website. Build website in another niche. Promote them. You can do it. You already have one website with 100-200 visitors daily.

OK. Now your have two websites that brings you $2-$4 daily. How many you will earn daily if you will build 100 websites? Build them. And promote them.

When you build 10-20 websites, you can promote your new websites just adding links from existing ones.

If you can’t write content for 100 websites use private label rights article to do it. Just rewrite them.

Unseen Uses for Google Adsense...

When I started using Google adsense I did so by signing up with the Google Cash Machine. I found the information enthralling and couldn’t wait to get to the end and at last understand why numerous sites displayed Google ads. As I soaked up the information on how you can make money by displaying Google ads on your web site. I was introduced to terms like keyword generation, overture and adsense, adwords, site maps to name but a few.

As the realisation dawned that you can create webs sites, based on keywords that are specific to niche subjects, which will display content sensitive Google ads, which can then earn you money…boom it hit me like a bomb. It suddenly struck me that here was a complete new area of the web that I had not previously explored, and one that had more potential to make me money than any of those HYIP’s, MLM’s and web superstores.

With all new areas of potential home based Internet businesses you find yourself immersed in a waterfall of unknown words, terms and new areas of interest. It is not as simple as saying I now know what a keyword is, because then you suddenly realise that you have got to generate those keywords. That’s another new area keyword generation. Then you see the ad for a keyword analysis tool and before you know it you’re off down that road, should I buy this, or maybe that and you’ve stopped progressing with your Google cash machine.

Stop…

Let’s get that first Google adsense site up, it might not be the best in the world but you’ve got the knowledge now lets turn that into experience. At last I had produced my first Google Cash Machine web site based on keywords about Flight, cheap flights, cheap flights Spain, etc…. I put the site up as a sub site of my galaxies-private-income.ws domain. What next? Submit the site to Google adsense so that it knows about your channel. (Website).

Having submitted it, I wondered how I would know when it was making me money.

Some hours later I logged onto Google adsense and selected reports. There for me to see was the number of hits on my first Google cash machine website. The numbers were nothing to write about, but it did strike me as odd that back in the days when I put my first web site up I struggled to find a hit counter. Eventually I did, but here on my Google adsense report page was a comprehensive report of my site how many hits and page impressions received, you can even select a date range. However, I digress, rather than continuing to extol the virtues of Google adsense reporting tools this rather brings me to the point of this article.

And that is….

That even if I don’t make millions out of my new found knowledge and experience with Google ads I have found a great way of tracking page hits and impressions on any website I may create, with great reporting and best of all its Free.

3 Practical Models To Quickly Earn And Maximize Google Adsense Revenue As A Publisher

Looking back in time, I could still remember standing in awe and reading the exploits of one adsense publisher who was starting a membership service for people keen to maximise their earnings as a google adsense publisher. He claimed to be making over $40K a month from his google adsense revenue and an almost equal amount from affiliate products.

In my mind,I could not help but believe that if he could be so successful, I could also be successful...and everyone can also be equally successful in developing content websites and allowing google adsense to be published on these websites.

Months followed later where I carried out research on Google Adsense, talked to people who were successful publishers, joined a couple of memberships sites myself, read a few ebooks on the subject, spent hundreds of dollars on tools and webpage generating software...the whole works.

My aim was simple - uncover the successful methods and make at least one of these techniques as mine and be equally successful , if not better.

What were my results? Briefly, there were 3 models that could lead to success. There might be more, but these 3 models figured prominently as I carried out my personal private research.

THE CONTENT MODEL

In the content model, a mini site is developed for a niche project. Generally, you would find the keywords for niche topics with a low R/S value, build a theme around these keywords and work out a mini website of around 20 to 50 pages. The key to such a website is written content. In many cases, I found reprint rights articles were also used and these were also sites that were successful in bringing in consistent traffic and revenue. Each page is normally written around just one keyword and the entire webpage is tightly SEOed (search engine optimized).

THE SINGLE-PAGE MODEL

In the second model, a one page article forms the website with google adsense on that article.In order to feature prominently, website promotion is necessary for this model. This is effected by submitting articles using automated softwares and gathering links in return. There were reports that this model is successful, however I did not receive figures to substantiate this claim nor have seen any figures.

THE NUMBERS GAME MODEL

This is by far the model that was reported to be widely successful. This model is based on the concept of " Build, Build and Build!". In other words, an incessant non-stop drive to keep on building websites and treating the business as stricly one of providing workable content sites for publishing adsense. However, care must be exercised at all times to follow Google Adsense Terms of Service. A prominent feature of this model was to use some form of auto generating software such as softwares that can generate directories or portals, the use of RSS and blogging to maintain and update the sites on a daily basis or a series of rotating templates. Care must also be keenly exercised that the sites must have content, and not merely appear spammy with results scrapped from search engines. One piece of advice from a veteran adsense publisher was that he would run over his sites such that he was clearly satisfied that the web pages were actually pleasing to a visitor and that the webpages were designed for humans. Often quoted by proponents of Model 3 is that the key to maximizing google adsense revenue and indeed affiliate revenue was to engage in a "numbers game". The more websites you build and commission, the higher is the revenue provided your keyword research is well done. In one case, one publisher claimed that his 65 years old mother could also work on this model by using a RSS system and was earning a good income just a few weeks into the model.

Which of the three models is applicable and useful to you? Are you in for the long term as a serious adsense publisher?

Above all these, you will need a compilation of good resources to assist you in your business as an adsense publisher. Gather the correct resources, personalize the good information and keep working on your model until you reach a good measure of success. Be of good faith, do not falter and you will reach success.

If you have no time to write content, you can find it from free sources and use it for digest blogs. But there are some questions. Is this type of blogs profitable? Can I use Adsense to monetize it? The answers are “Yes” and “Yes”.

The Best Place To Put Your Adsense Ads!

Where’s the best place to put your adsense ads? On your web pages of course. Ok, just kidding. The real question should be: “Is there really any truth to the rumors that where you place those Google AdSense ads can actually improve response?” According to my best information, the answer to that question is: Yes.

Google’s own AdSense experts say that that there is a direct correlation between the placement of the AdSense ads and the resulting clickthrough.

When ads are placed in “content zones”, rather than in “advertising zones”, response rates on Google AdWords goes up. There are also indications showing that ads appearing on the right side of the page get clicked more than ads appearing on the left side.

Advertising analysts with degrees in human behavior and psychology have spent thousands of man-years (people-years?) studying how people read printed and Internet content and what it takes to get them to respond to ads. While some of these studies are proprietary, or are only available to anyone with $10,000 or more to spend on a copy, other studies have been made public and can be read by anyone who is interested.

Google themselves has released some relevant information which is focused directly on increasing your Google AdSense response. You can read their findings here.

Of course, all of the studies in the world aren’t worth a hill of beans if the findings don’t work on your web site. That’s why it is important to test, test and test again. Experiment with your Google AdSense placement and track the results over a period of time. Google provides response tracking tools in your AdSense control panel. Learn how to use them. As you begin to see what may be only subtle differences in response, you’ll be able to determine what works best for your particular site. But don’t get complacent. What’s working for you now might not work next month if you change your site design or content.

One of the most important factors in determining placement of your ads is the type of content that your site delivers. If you are primarily an e-commerce site, and you have a lot of pictures and ad copy for your own products competing for attention against AdSense ads, then it is going to be a particularly tough challenge getting any kind of decent Google AdSense clickthrough. It is situations like this that require very thorough testing and a lot of trial and error.

Blogs seem to have a lot of success generating high response rates to Google AdSense listings. Perhaps it’s because blog readers realize that ad revenue is the only way that their favorite blogmaster can keep the lights on, so the readers think of clicking on ads as a way to make a donation(possible adsense click fraud though).

Regardless of what the experts say, your best bet is to tailor your Google AdSense ad placement to what your own experience shows works best for you. In the end, you’re the only expert who matters.

If you already have own blog or plan to start one, adsense is perfect way to monetize it. Adsense works perfect for any “expert’s blogs” or content blogs. It means that if you have niche blog there you post articles, reviews and so on, you have to place Adsense blocks.

Browsing thousands content blogs with perfect Adsense revenue I have found some rules that they follow these rules:

Find narrow niche for your blog. Become an expert in this niche.
Create at least one post daily.
Place Adsense blocks close to content

The first rule is the most important. But it’s harder to follow. There are some tips how to choose good niche:

Webmasters have a revolutionary new method of collecting income from their websites. RSS + Adsense = big profit without writing any content

RSS feeds are gold mines. There are millions feeds that updates daily. You can find feed for every niche, for every keyword. I remember only one episode then I didn’t find RSS content for my website. But I think you find RSS feed for your website.

OK. There is step by step instruction how to build your own RSS content website for AdSense.

Step #1

Find high paying keywords. Use this Google Adwodrs tool to analyze your keywords – https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Step #2

When you have keywords list, find RSS feeds. Use Google, Technorati and other blogsphere services and search engines. You must fond at least 10-20 RSS feeds.

Step #3

Buy domain and hosting. Install CMS or script that support RSS aggregation. I use Drupal with aggregator2 module. It’s freeware. Change website templates and design.

Step #4

Place Adsense blocks on pages. Read this blog to find how to do this best.

Step #5

Add selected feeds into CMS and aggregate content from them. Schedule daily updates. Now you have website with daily updated content.

(2) Too much information or the lack of it can be dangerous. Not using the knowledge that you have gain can stop your business from getting off the ground and not having the right information can have the same effect.

(3) Market your programs with Google Adwords. This is a powerful strategy you can use and as long as you earn more in commissions than your PPC costs, then you are getting something for nothing.

(4) Write your own ads, articles and reviews instead of the pre-formatted ones offered by affiliate programs. This will set you apart from all the other affiliates in the same program.

(5) Make sure your affiliate program matches the content of your website or newsletter. If you have marketing content then you should promote marketing products on that page. Think of it like matching ads to the page content like the way Adsense does. There may a few exceptions to the rule though, even Adsense does it some time.

So you have created a great website, your traffic is increasing each day, and you have began earning some money from those Adsense ads you strategically placed. Adsense is a great source for income but are you getting the most money out of those ads as you can? The answer may be no.

I also started keeping track on which ads had the highest click through rates and the higher payouts. I narrowed these down to just a few that I use now, but there is one that still gets a great response. The best part about setting these up are they are usually 100% free to join.

Here are a few steps to get started:

2. Once you sign up with these programs some are instant and others may take a couple of hours for approval.

3. Sign into your Google Adsense account.

4. Once in Adsense Setup go to Alternate ads or colors and select 'Show ads from another URL'.

5. Type in the url you got from your affiliate site, for example - http://moderncl1ck.com/eb/3/xxxx/0 - where the 'xxxx' is type in your own code.

6. Generate your Adsense code.

7. Paste your Adsense code on your webpage.

That is all you need to do to start maximizing your Adsense earnings. It is very easy and only takes a few minutes to get it set up, and the long term benefits from using the Alterante URL option are huge.
